This sample return information is for our COVID-19 Swab PCR Test

We only recommend Self-return or private courier return for time-critical testing such as Fit to Fly, we do not recommend using Royal Mail Tracked Returns COVID-19 service for time-critical tests. For the fastest turnaround, we strongly recommend that you drop your sample directly at the Bermondsey, London laboratory using these instructions yourself or using a courier such as Gophr or Addison Lee.

Self-return your sample or use your own courier

You may drop off your sample at our London laboratory partner (located in Bermondsey, SE16 4DG) or send your own courier.

  • The laboratory operates 7 days per week including UK Bank Holidays, and samples dropped off before 1PM are typically processed the same day
  • Drop your sample at any time as there is a sample drop box outside of the building which can be used 24×7
  • Please use these Sample Drop Off Instructions for you or your courier to help find the sample drop box
  • If you are returning multiple samples together via a private courier service, you can put the samples in the same returns box that is supplied in the kit. You can return up to 10 samples in one box.

Every test kit includes labels to return the sample using the Royal Mail Tracked Returns COVID-19 service.

  • Samples may be returned using any of the 32,000 convenient Royal Mail Priority Postboxes, as shown on the Royal Mail services near you page. Just check “Show my nearest priority postboxes” when you search.
  • The Royal Mail service is tracked, and your tracking information is shared with you by email so you can see the progress of your sample on its way to the lab on the royal mail website.
  • Royal Mail aims to deliver the sample within 48 working hours of posting. Typically we see that 45% are delivered next working day, 40% the working day after that, and 15% take between 3 and 5 calendar days.
